The Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR) will present their Champion of Freedom Award to The Anschutz Foundation at LPR’s Annual Retreat Dinner on February 9, 2018 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
The LPR Champion of Freedom Award recognizes exceptional contributions by a distinguished group or individual to improve the lives of citizens through philanthropy and public policy involvement.
The Anschutz Foundation is a broad foundation with the mission of helping people improve their lives through health and wellness, youth education and development, human services, arts and culture, and of course, constitutional principles and personal values. The group has been steadfast in its vision to strengthen and protect free speech, free markets, and freedom of religion.
Many philanthropic groups are stepping up to make improvements, but few as principled and dedicated as The Anschutz Foundation. The foundation’s promotion of education reform includes supporting better teachers and charter schools and options to give parents more choices in providing education opportunities for their children. The Foundation’s focus on health and wellness includes all aspects of patient care, research, innovation and workforce education.
“We are pleased to bring focus to the great work this organization is doing to help families in Colorado. Their many accomplishments and successes are inspirational,” said Shari Williams, President of the Leadership Program of the Rockies.
