Pete Hegseth is co-host of FOX & Friends Weekend on the FOX News Channel. He is also a FOX Nation host, #1 New York Times bestselling author, and Army combat veteran.
On FOX News, Pete is a commentator on every major program—both for daytime and primetime shows. He regularly guest-hosts for FOX & Friends (weekday), The Five, Hannity, Ingraham Angle and Jesse Watters Primetime. Pete also co-hosts FOX News’ New Year’s Eve coverage, alongside his FOX & Friends Weekend co-hosts. Pete first joined the network as a contributor in 2014.
On FOX Nation, Pete is the host of multiple ongoing series, to include: Modern Warriors (military), Battle in the Holy Land (Israel), The MisEducation of America (education), Untold: Patriots Revealed (history), and The Life of Jesus (Christianity). Pete also hosts the flagship annual FOX Nation Patriot Awards, and headlines FOX Nation’s coverage of major political events.
Pete’s most recent book – “Battle for the American Mind” (June, 2022) – spent over twelve weeks on the New York Times best-sellers list, including four straight weeks at #1. Two of Pete’s previous books – “American Crusade” and “Modern Warriors” – were also best-sellers.
Pete served as in Infantry Officer in the Army National Guard, serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay. He holds two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge for his time in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hegseth also held the position of CEO for Concerned Veterans for America—a veterans advocacy organization.
Hegseth has a bachelor’s degree in politics from Princeton University and master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (although he mailed this degree back to Harvard!). Pete and his wife Jenny live in Middle Tennessee and have 7 children—all of which they pray grow up to love God and country.
